Dear Bleeker Students, Families, and Guardians,
As the Mayor and Chancellor announced, NYC Public Schools will reopen tomorrow. We look forward to welcoming students back for in-person learning on Tuesday, February 24.
Our custodial team has been working tirelessly to ensure that paths are cleared, crosswalks are accessible, and safety measures are in place throughout the building perimeter. Their focus has been on making morning arrival as safe and smooth as possible for everyone.
Please review the important information below:
- Arrival Before 8:00 AM: Students who arrive early will have supervised spaces inside the building and may eat breakfast if they choose.
- Additional Entrance: The entrance on 26th Avenue by PS 21 (rear of JHS 185) will open at 7:40 AM to help ease traffic congestion.
- Afterschool Programs: Afterschool will proceed as normally scheduled.
- Grade 8 Trip: The trip to Atlas Park Cinemas will be rescheduled. More information will be shared soon.
Especially in these post-inclement weather circumstances, we ask for everyone’s partnership and cooperation in avoiding double parking, stopped traffic, and other unsafe or delay-causing situations during arrival and dismissal. We will be understanding of lateness as we transition back.
